Mini Mermaid Preview

Here's a preview of my upcoming pattern, Mini Mermaid. She'll be in my shop soon.

The idea came from just loving mermaids and also wanting to create a small doll who can be sewn up pretty fast. She's only a few inches tall from the top of her head to her tail.

I love mermaids, but I've always struggled with coming up with ideas to make their tops. I decided for this little mermaid doll to use flower buttons. But you can also use a ribbon if you'd like.

Because she's so small, she doesn't require as much yarn hair as my other dolls. For reference, I usually wrap yarn hair around a shoe box lid 85-90 times to create a weft of hair for my normal size dolls, but for her I only wrapped the hair around the lid about 60 times with thin yarn.
